Description
The rope is clamped between two fluted stationary pieces in a clam cleat (or jam cleat). Such a cleat resembles two clamshell halves held back to some extent. Although it is more compact than a cam cleat, the rope is harder to release when loaded. It fits into a plastic molding, combining alloy teeth's strength with a molded component's reduced price. It may be inserted using a mold or pressed into a hot mold. It is ideal for booms and downhauls in windsurfing. A seemingly straightforward ridged "V" groove binds ropes securely but has no moving parts that could malfunction or seize. One can untangle it immediately by giving it a swift upward and backward tug.
Key Features:
- Combines the strength of an alloy cleat with the less costly price of a molded component by fitting it into a plastic molding.
- Although the exams were challenging, the performance was excellent.
- Outstanding value for the money
- It has constantly proven to be dependable, which enables it to meet our requirements for durability and quality.
- Better than less efficient materials.
