Description
A spark plug is an electrical device that fits into the cylinder head of some internal combustion engines and uses an electric spark to ignite compressed aerosol gasoline. A substantially insulated wire connects a spark plug's insulated center electrode to an ignition coil or magneto circuit on the outside, generating a spark gap inside the cylinder with a grounded termination on the plug's base. The spark plug's main job is to ignite the air/fuel mixture. Electrical energy is transmitted through the spark plug, leaping the gap in the plug's firing end, if the voltage given to the plug is high enough.
Key Features:
- The triple gasket sealing process prevents gas from leaking past the shell.
 - Insulator made of 99 percent pure alumina silicate
 - Corrugated ribs to avoid flashing over
 - Corrosion resistance, trivalent plating – silver chromate, and zinc – are used.
